I had the opportunity to learn a new framework for developing REST APIs called Nest.js. This framework was a game changer in terms of development time, as it offered CLI generated boilerplate code and facilitated the creation of scalable APIs using TypeScript. As part of my role, I worked on a feedback API that was responsible for receiving feedback from users and saving it in the database. To manage the database and its operations, I utilized TypeORM and Postgres. This allowed me to efficiently store and retrieve user feedback, ensuring that our team had access to critical data in a timely and organized manner. In addition to my work on the feedback API, I was also responsible for maintaining and updating our existing APIs. This involved troubleshooting and debugging any issues that arose and implementing new features as needed. I was able to leverage my knowledge of Nest.js to streamline this process and ensure that our APIs were always performing at their best. Overall, my experience at my previous job allowed me to develop my skills in API development and hone my knowledge of Nest.js.
